Palliative Care Study

The University of British Columbia (UBC Vancouver) is conducting a study that seeks to improve the quality of life for patients and their caregivers who have either used palliative care services or had challenges in doing so. The study aims to explore a potential way to improve access to in-home support in symptom crises (or after hours). They are looking to recruit patients, their families and/or caregivers who have experience(s) of accessing emergency services in British Columbia, while also receiving palliative care services.  The study’s procedure is an interview over the telephone or an in-person group discussion.
