Research Study: Living with serious illness

Are you living with advanced cancer or metastatic cancer and willing to share your experience of living with your illness?

You are invited to take part in a study that is being conducted through the University of Victoria and the University of Alberta.

We are seeking to gain an understanding of how people living with advanced cancer and their families make sense of the uncertainties in living with serious illness.

Findings from the study will be used to help improve care and support for people and families living with advanced cancer.

The study will involve three interviews 60-90 minutes in length, at a time and location of your choice.

If you have a family who may be willing to share their experience, we would be interested in interviewing them as well.

If you are interested and wanting to learn more about the study

please contact the Research Coordinators:

Marcy and Lacie at: 250-472-5371 email: story@uvic.ca.

Approval of this study can be verified by Dr. Maxine Alford

(BC Cancer Agency), 250-519-5607.
