Ovarian Cancer Action (UK) 5th Anniversary Symposium
On the 4th July of this year, eminent scientists, ovarian cancer researchers, gynaecological oncologists and other healthcare staff, partners and funders joined us at the Caledonian Club (SW1 London) to celebrate the critical work of two exceptional organisations on their respective 5th and 10th anniversaries; the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre and the West London Gynaecological Cancer Centre.
As part of the celebrations we asked world leading ovarian cancer scientists to share their latest research with us… Listen to presentations:
- ‘”Flies unzipped” – how fruit fly research can lead to ovarian cancer discovery.’ By Dr Sarah Blagden FRCP, PhD (Consultant in Medical Oncology and Senior Lecturer, Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre, Imperial College London).
- ‘Maximising patient survival in ovarian cancer; just do it!’ By Professor Charlie Gourley (Professor and Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology, the University of Edinburgh):
- ‘The Future for Ovarian Cancer: Cure, Control or a slice of each.’ By Professor David Huntsman (Director of Ovarian Cancer Research, British Columbia’s ovarian cancer research team and Professor of Pathology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, The University of British Columbia).
